Mexico, in Mercedes- Benz’s crosshairs
April 11, 2014
MexicoNow- Mercedes-Benz is considering Mexico to establish a plant that distributes hi-end cars in America. Even if the German investors have not made a deep analysis yet, Mexico has high expectations for growth in the deluxe cars segment. After launching GLA 200, a new line of compact cars for young people, deluxe but less expensive, Mercedes-Benz said that they expect 10% increase in sales in 2014 over last year, which means selling around 9,500 units in a hi-end market that has responded well in the last eight years. “We have done very well. In 2013 we grew 13% over the previous year and truth is we are very pleased on how we are doing in sales”, a spokesperson said.
